With Christmas only 24 days away and the first sprinkles of snow arriving on the island earlier this week, the team at Knox House Trust are finally getting into the festive spirit.
Leading the way is the Finance Team with Financial Controller Alana Faragher, and Client Bookkeeper Richelle Santos who arrived into work today on Dress Down Friday with their sparkly Christmas Jumpers – Festive and Warm in sub zero temperatures. They have bought cheer and fun into the office. Dress Down Friday is a weekly event and the Knox House Trust team contributes a nominal amount out of their monthly salary to raise money for the Macmillan Cancer Care Charity.
This Christmas, Knox House Trust is also supporting local island charity Live at Home Scheme, a charity that supports the island’s senior generation. Tea, coffee, tinned food, toiletries, biscuits, preserves, chocolate, sweets are some of the items with a long shelf life that are included in the hampers, which are delivered to residents in time for Christmas.
Anthony Page, Managing Director of Knox House Trust said, “This is the time of year for giving to those not as fortunate as ourselves and I’m proud of the initiatives that the team here run with. We also know how to have fun and I’m told that Alana has a collection of Christmas Jumpers so I’m looking forward to 3 more Fridays to see what they are as well as what the rest of the team manage to pull out from the bottom of their wardrobes to brighten up our Fridays.”
