The team at Knox House Trust took great pleasure in supporting the Isle of Man Foodbank this week. Following a request for donations by the staff Knox House Trust provided various essential food items to the local Manx charity.
Voirrey Collister, Head of Private Clients & Operations said “We are delighted to have been able to support the Isle of Man Foodbank. This is a local Manx charity, which gives so much to those in need or crisis within our community. In the current economic climate there are often people needing a helping hand, and this is exactly what the Isle of Man Foodbank provides. We would actively encourage anyone to think of the Isle of Man Foodbank when they do their next weekly shop, and consider picking up an extra item or two to drop off at this wonderful charity.”
Voirrey and the team responded in kind to a plea made by the charity. It is the time of year when people are heading away for summer holidays, which unfortunately results in a much reduced supply chain for the charity. The Isle of Man Foodbank was established in December 2013 by a number of local charities and faith communities along with government representatives from Social Care and the Office of Fair Trading. Their aim is to meet the unique local community needs.
