Knox House Trust (KHT) is pleased to announce that it has donated £1,000 to local charity, The Children’s Centre, in order to help them provide additional financial support for their family services during the covid-19 pandemic.

The charity plans to utilise the funds to provide financial support in the form of food, fuel or electricity vouchers to the families that they work with who are struggling to manage during this difficult time.

Voirrey Coole (Director – Private Clients & Operations) commented: “At a time of global crisis where many of us are no doubt feeling anxious or overwhelmed, our thoughts went to The Children’s Centre and their clients.  We are delighted to be in a position to do something positive that will help families in need at a time of financial difficulty to get key essentials.”

Head of the Children’s Centre, Joff Whitten, added his comments: “We are extremely grateful to Knox House Trust for the help they have offered us and the families we work with. So many of us are entering a period of financial worry, of uncertainty for the future and the challenges of being socially isolated for an unknown period.”

He continued: “We try our hardest to help those families who need help. Our aim is that our lovely farm will once again become a place of sanctuary for so many on the island once this is all over; for now, we try to help where we can. It’s though our partnership with organisations like Knox House Trust that we are able to do this, and we are so grateful for their support. Thank you so much for thinking of others at this time when we are all worried about our futures.”

Knox House Trust is part of the Knox group of companies. Deputy Chairman and KHT Director, Tim Eve, also added his comments; “Working together and thinking of others is vital at the best of times, but never more than at the present time.  To be in a position to offer support to The Children’s Centre was the right thing to do. The KHT team have a long-standing relationship with the charity and we had no hesitation in contacting Joff to see how we could help. We hope our assistance goes some way to ease the burden for those in greatest need of help, and we wish them and their clients all the best as we work through this unsettling time.”
